Nissan Juke

This mini-crossover started life in 2009 as the Qazana concept at the Geneva Motor Show of that same year, and was first introduced on the market in the UK in 2010. It proved (and still proves) to be quite popular, surpassing monthly sales targets since it's launch.

It's design is rather peculiar and considered a bit of a bold move (after the Qashqai which was rather styled conservatively), but personally I think it works. According to Nissan, the glasshouse should resemble a crash helmet visor.

As far as the engines are concerned, you have a choice between four engines, ranging from 1.5 to 1.6 liters for the petrol engines, and a 1.6 liter diesel engine. These engines don't really scream "performance" (nor is that their purpose), but you'd be surprised! The top (petrol) engine will propel the Juke from 0 to 60mph in 7.3 seconds, and can go on to reach a top speed of 137mph (or 219.2km/h) - so the Nissan Juke is far from slow.

Most (if not all) reviews focused on its styling, mainly complaining about the unconventional style - but in the end, it's the customer that makes the decision, and in this case Nissan won. Love or hate the Juke? Decide for yourself - here are some pictures to help you make up your mind.
